Robert L. Swartz, 66, Indianapolis, passed on April 19, 2008. Born February 28, 1942 to the late John E. and Alice J. Swartz Sr. Robert was a 1960 graduate from Emmerich Manual Training High School. In 1962, he entered the U.S. Navy where he served until 1968. Although he received initial Technical Draftsman training while in service to our country, the majority of his career was devoted to Western Electric. This Indianapolis location stopped operations in 1985. Most recently, Robert was employed with Rolls Royce. Memorial service will be Saturday, April 26 at Christians United Soldiers Memorial Chapel, 5626 Lawton Loop East Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46216, at 10:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m.Survivors include his wife, Sharon L. Swartz; sons, Chad E. Swartz and James M. Swartz; brothers, John E. (Sandy) Swartz, Jr. and Michael W. (Yolanda) Swartz.
